The Apple Watch comes in two different sizes to fit everyone's wrist, with a beautiful Retina display that is protected from damage by sapphire glass, produces incredibly sharp images and text that is easy to read at a glance, and is also extremely energy efficient for all-day battery life. The watch is made from custom alloys of stainless steel and aluminium, with a precision-machined construction that helps the watch look great and be protected from the physical demands of daily wear.

The Apple Watch comes with a unique new way of interacting with a smartwatch. In addition to standard touch input, the Watch reimagines the crown found on mechanical watches as the Digital Crown, which can be used to zoom in and scroll without obstructing your view from the actual content on the watch. The Digital Crown also acts as a button, allowing you to return to the homescreen instantly, and the display can differentiate between a light tap and a deep press, for standard navigation and advanced contextual functions for a highly intuitive user experience.

Working with the iPhone, the Apple Watch shows highly accurate time in the most meaningful and useful ways. Custom watchfaces mean you can view the clock in the way you like it with the information you need, such as the weather, the latest stock prices, real-time notifications and more, for a virtually endless amount of personalization. The watch features Apple's digital assistant Siri, which can be quickly accessed for functions like dictating messages, getting turn-by-turn directions, or the latest calendar events simply by raising your wrist and saying "Hey, Siri" or by holding the Digital Crown.

The Apple Watch features the capabilities of a fitness tracker and a highly advanced sports watch in a single device. The back of the watch comes with a ceramic cover with a special sensor that uses infrared and visible-light LEDs and photodiodes to detect heart rate. Coupled with the GPS and Wi-Fi on the iPhone, the sensor can measure all kinds of physical movement, from standing up to walking briskly to climbing the stairs, and the Activity app aggregates all this data and provides a graphical view of your daily activity.

The Apple watch also features a new way to experience apps. The Glances feature condenses relevant information from each app into an easily glanceable format; users can control the music on their iPhone via the Music app, take photos remotely with a simple tap on the watch, send and receive text messages and email, and also perform basic functions like taking a call and setting an alarm.
