Coolpad Cool S1 Details

The Coolpad Cool S1 is the latest from the Coolpad-LeEco collaboration and follows the Coolpad Note 5 smartphone. The Cool S1 features exceptional core specs and is available in 4GB/64GB and 6GB/128GB variants.
Display and Design
The display on the Coolpad Cool S1 is a 5.50-inch IPS LCD display with Full HD resolution that is one of the better displays currently available in the mid-range segment. The display does not sport Corning Gorilla Glass but features 2.5D curved glass. The phone is encased in a metal unibody measuring 151.4 x 74.7 x 7.5 mm and 168 grams, and is available in black, blue and gold colors. The phone features touch buttons below the screen, volume and power buttons on the right edge while a 3.5 mm audio jack and USB Type C are at the bottom.
Platform and Memory
The Cool S1 runs 6.0.1 Marshmallow with EUI 5.8 on top which features a number of improvements such as long screen shot that captures a screenshot of the entire page and not just what is visible on screen, and the ability to sync with smart TV's and automobile systems. The phone is powered by a Snapdragon 821 chipset that bears a quad-core 2.35 GHz Kryo processor and 4GB of RAM that handles any task with ease. The GPU on the phone is an Adreno 530 for games and HD entertainment. The Cool S1 does not offer expandable storage space.
Cameras and Battery
The rear camera on the Cool S1 is 16-megapixels that takes quality images, and is aided by PDAF and dual LED flash. The camera app features a number of modes and features to ensure the best images are captured. The rear camera records in HD resolution. The front camera on the Cool S1 is 8-megapixels that captures adequately clear images. The battery that powers the S1 is 4,070mAh that will last over a day. Quick Charge 3.0 gives the battery full charge in less than 90 minutes. The 3.5 mm audiojack is equipped with Harman Kardon sound.
Connectivity and other features
The dual SIM phone supports 3G mobile data, in addition to Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS and A-GPS, and a reversible USB Type C port for charging. The phone features a rear fingerprint sensor.
