The Coolpad Mega 5M is one of the three smartphones that the brand launched on December 20, 2018. The other two smartphones are Coolpad Mega 5 and the Coolpad Mega 5C. The Coolpad Mega 5M is not only the brand s one of the most affordable smartphones, but it is also one of the most affordable Android-based smartphones in India. Here is what the device has to offer.

The Coolpad Mega 5M in spite of being one of the most affordable smartphones offers a 5-inch display with HD resolution. At this price point, most smartphones have a WVGA resolution screen, but the Mega 5M having an HD resolution display makes it an excellent value for money device. The display as you can expect uses LCD technology. However, the brand has not revealed which kind of LCD it has. We assume it is an IPS LCD. The Coolpad Mega 5M has a 5-megapixel rear camera, which has autofocus and an LED flash. The resolution of the camera may seem less. However, one shouldn t expect anything more at this price point. At the front, there is a 2-megapixel camera.

Coolpad has not revealed the model number or even the brand name of the processor that goes into the Mega 5M. For now, all we know is that the smartphone has a quad-core processor clocked at 1.2GHz. This could very well be a low-end MediaTek processor. The brand also did not reveal the Android version that the Mega 5M has. Considering that its pricier sibling, the Mega 5 runs Android 8.1 Oreo, we expect the Mega 5M to have the same Android version. The smartphone comes in only one configuration, and it has 1GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. The device packs a 2000mAh battery.
