Gionee Marathon M4, like the rest of the phones in the line-up comes with a giant battery allowing the device to keep on ticking for days. The device comes with a 5,000 mAh battery which is complemented by the fact that the device comes with 4G LTE support in India. The smartphone supports the FDD-LTE 1800MHz Band 3 and TDD-LTE 2300MHz Band 40.

The smartphone is available in white and black colour options and comes with a variety of connectivity options along with the 4G support. The dual-SIM smartphone comes with a microUSB 2.0 port, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS and Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n. The smartphone ships with Android 5.0 Lollipop out of the box with the Amogio 3.0 UI, the company s own skin on top.

Powering the smartphone is a powerful quad-core processor clocking 1.3 GHz. The processor is capable of churning out impressive performance but in an extremely saturated mid-range market, the hardware specs on the device could be a bit lacking in comparison to the competitors. The device comes with 2GB of RAM and is powered by the monstrous 5,000 mAh non-removable Li-Po battery. The battery is capable of giving the device a continuous talk time of 18 hours on 3G and can keep the phone on standby for up to 400 hours.

The phone flaunts a 5-inch IPS LCD touchscreen display and comes with a HD (1280x720 pixels) screen resolution. The display is not even full-HD while most device in this segment boast of at least full-HD resolution. Imaging on the device is enabled through both the front and rear shooters. The front camera has a 5-megapixel sensor while the rear comes with an 8-megapixel sensor. The primary camera is capable of shooting beautiful full-HD images as it is accompanied by an LED flash and comes with autofocus feature.
