HTC Desire 626G+ Details

The HTC Desire 626G+ is a lower mid-range smartphone offering from the Taiwanese company that was announced in India in April 2015. It is a variant of the HTC Desire 626 that comes with lower internal storage capacity and dual-SIM connectivity. Originally priced at Rs. 16,990, the device sports a 5-inch LCD display, Android 4.4 KitKat operating system, 1.7GHz octa-core processor, 1GB RAM, 8GB ROM, 13-megapixel primary camera, 5-megapixel secondary camera, and a 2,000 mAh battery.
The design of the Desire 626G+ resembles to that of the Desire 820 series of smartphones. There are speakers above and below the display, along with the front-facing camera and the company s logo. The power and volume keys are on the right hand side, while the primary camera lens, LED flash, secondary microphone, and a bigger logo on the back. The SIM card and the microSD card can be inserted in the respective slots that are hidden beneath a plastic flap. An auxiliary headphone jack is also present on the top of the device. It measures 146.9 x 70.9 x 8.2 mm, and weighs a decent 138 grams. The Desire 626G+ is available in three colours; Blue Lagoon, Purple Fire, and White Birch. it has a unique two-layer colouring scheme that is evident in HTC s mid-range smartphones that were released in 2014 or later.
It s 5-inch IPS LCD display that has a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels has a pixel density of 294 ppi. It can showcase 16 million colours, but is not protected by a hardened sheet of glass. It has a 13-megapixel primary camera with a BSI sensor, autofocus mechanism, an f/2.2 aperture, a 28 mm lens, and 1080p video recording. HTC has started equipping all its mid-range and high-end smartphones with high-resolution front-facing cameras. Similarly, the front-facing camera on the HTC Desire 626G+ has a 5-megapixel camera, that too with a BSI sensor, an aperture of f/2.8, a 34 mm lens, and 1080p video recording.
As always, Sense UI is a part of the software that you have to deal with an Android smartphone from the Taiwanese brand. The Desire 626G+ comes with Android 4.4.2 KitKat pre-installed, but the company has not announced whether it will be lucky enough to be updated to Android 5.0 Lollipop or above. Sense UI comes with BlinkFeed, the company s home-baked news reading app, a file manager app, and a lot of other tools as well as improved apps.
A 1.7GHz octa-core processor from MediaTek (MT6572), along with Mali-T760MP2 and 1GB RAM does all the heavy lifting in the processing department. There s 8GB of internal storage, a bit low when compared to best-selling smartphones in its price range, and a microSD card slots. It can accommodate microSD cards up to 32GB digital storage capacity. Apart from these hardware components, the HTC Desire 626G+ is also equipped with things like an accelerometer, a proximity sensor, an ambient-light sensor, and a magnetic sensor.
A dual-SIM slot (USIM + USIM) is part of the package, and it can latch on to HSPA+ networks to provide theoretical download speeds of up to 21.1Mbps or upload speeds of up to 5.6Mbps. Other connectivity features include Wi-Fi b/g/n, Wi-Fi Direct, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Bluetooth v4.0 (with Apt-X and A2DP for better audio listening experience), an internal GPS antenna, a 5-pin microUSB port, and a 3.5 mm headphone jack.
