HTC Desire 700 Details

Sporting a dual-SIM configuration, HTC Desire 700 is the iterative successor of the Desire 500 and Desire 600. The eldest among these three, Desire 700 supports follows the Desires series design language married with the One design but it carries a glossy plastic chassis all around it.
HTC Desire 700 sports a 5-inch IPS LCD display with 960 540 pixel resolution and pushes pixel density of 220 PPI (pixels per inch). Such large and pleasing display is ideal to consume multimedia but may not be a match with the modern day 720p HD touting models. HTC has housed a quad-core 1.2 GHz Spreadtrum Shark mobile chipset based on ARM Cortex-A7 processor design. This mobile chipset is beefed with 1GB of RAM and offers 8 GB of built-in storage. While the basic hardware is just enough to run the HTC Sense 5.0 User Interface packaged on top of Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean update. But there is no word on whether it will ever taste latest Android version.
HTC has integrated its BlinkFeed home screen replacing experience which fetches variety of information from News and social networking feeds. Besides that, HTC BoomSound powered dual speakers with built-in amplifiers resting under the mesh on the forehead and the chin of the phone deliver top quality sound experience.
At the rear is a 8MP camera with a round 28mm lens treatment having metallic accent with the colour matching the frame. This BSI sensor has f/2.0 aperture has LED flash with five levels of flash feature called Smart Flash and auto focus. HTC Zoe takes care of different modes with Sequence Shot, Always Smile, and Object Removal feature. The front facing 2.1MP camera with BSI sensor promises great selfies.
The Desire 700 as a dual-SIM device brings support for quad-band GSM network or EVDO Rev. B based SIM in slot one and tri-band GSM based SIM in second slot. But out of these two, only slot one supports the tri-band HSPA networks. Faster mobile downloads are boosted by the dual-band Wi-FI 802.11 a/b/g/n along with Wi-Fi Direct function for fast transfer of content between to two devices supporting Wi-Fi Direct.
A Bluetooth Headset can be paired through Bluetooth 4.0 with aptX support. Being DLNA certified, stream the multimedia content to the HD TVs and monitors. For more accurate location mapping, the phone offers GPS with A-GPS and GLONASS support.
HTC has packed a 2100 mAh battery which clearly is not enough to run the phone in dual SIM mode. The advertised talk time of up to 8 hours over 3G seems to work only with moderate usage. Desire 700 is a dual-SIM yet costly entertainment device with support for variety of audio-video formats backed by great audio output.
