HTC Desire 825 Details

Introduction & Design
The HTC Desire 825 is an excellent looking smartphone with not so excellent specifications. Similar to its smaller version Desire 625, the Desire 825 also has a dotted pattern on the back of the device, while the frontal design is clean with capacitive navigation buttons on the bottom and a speaker grill on the top. The device measures 156.9 x 76.9 x 7.4mm and weighs 155 grams.  The HTC Desire 825 is available in white and gold colour variant.
Display & Camera
Similar to all the Desire 8xx series devices, the Desire 825 also features a 5.5-inch Super LCD panel comprising of HD resolution with an unspecified version of Corning’s Gorilla Glass. The pixel density of 267 PPI provides sharp images and videos with minimal pixelation. The primary camera on the HTC Desire 825 is a 13-megapixel autofocus unit with an aperture of f/2.2 and a 28mm wide angle lens; it is also equipped with LED flash to help in low-light conditions. A secondary camera is a 5-megapixel unit that is capable of full-HD video recording.
Software & Performance
The device runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system with HTC’s beautiful Sense UI. The Sense UI has clean, and attractive looks with its beautifully crafted icons, wallpapers, and especially system sound. The device is expected to receive the newer version of Android, but HTC has not yet revealed any plans for it. The device is packed with an outdated Snapdragon 400 chipset which is rather disappointing, as almost all the other devices that are cheaper than Desire 825 are packed with the 64-bit processor. The chipset contains four Cortex-A7 cores clocked at 1.6GHz and Adreno 305 GPU for graphics performance. The multitasking is handled by 2GB of RAM while the storage is handled by 16GB of internal memory that can be expanded with the help of a dedicated microSD card slot.
Battery & Connectivity
The Desire 825 comes fitted with a non-removable Li-Ion battery of 2,700 mAh capacity. The Connectivity options include dual-SIM 4G LTE, Wi-Fi a/b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.1, GPS with GLONASS, and a microUSB v2.0 port.
