Honor V30 Pro

The HONOR V30 Pro looks stunning, thanks to its aluminum body, glass at the front and rear, and gradient color pattern. The display of the smartphone uses a 6.4-inch OLED panel with Full HD+ resolution (2340x1080 pixels) and HDR10 video playback. The phone has an in-display optical fingerprint reader that is used for user authentication.

Similar to Huawei and HONOR s newer phones, the HONOR V30 Pro runs the Android 10 operating system with EMUI 10 software. However, there is no access to Google Mobile Services (GMS) on the phone, which means no Gmail, Google Drive, Google Maps, Google Photos, Play Store, YouTube or any other Google service that we generally see on Android smartphones. The HONOR V30 Pro uses Huawei s latest smartphone processing chipset, the Kirin 990, and it has four big CPU cores, four small CPU cores, and the Mali-G76 MP16 GPU. Needless to say, it is built using the 7nm EUV process and is a beast of a chipset in terms of processing power. There is 6GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB of UFS 3.0 storage.

The HONOR V30 Pro has a quad-camera setup on the rear, consisting of a 40MP camera with a 1/1.7-inch sensor with a wide-angle lens, a 40MP 1/1.5-inch sensor with an ultra-wide-angle lens, an 8MP 3x telephoto lens camera, and a 2MP macro camera. The rear-facing camera can record 4K 60fps videos using three of the four cameras. At the front, the HONOR V30 Pro has a 32MP selfie camera with a fixed-focus lens and 1080p 60fps video recording. HONOR has used various AI scene recognition and object recognition software algorithms to choose the best scene and the best camera settings to go with it accordingly. The front-facing and rear-facing cameras on the HONOR V30 Pro can capture images with background blur effect. There s an always-on HDR mode for images with a wider dynamic range.

The HONOR V30 Pro is powered by a 4200mAh battery, which is decently large for its specs, and it could last one entire day of heavy usage. Plus, the phone supports the 40W SuperCharge protocol for wired charging, allowing the phone s battery to be fully charged within an hour and a half. It even supports fast wireless charging through compatible chargers at 15W of power. In terms of connectivity, the phone supports 2G, 3G, 4G, and 5G networks. There s a dual-SIM card slot, GPS, Wi-Fi b/g/n/ac, Wi-Fi Direct, Bluetooth 5.0, and a USB Type-C port.
