After the success of the Ascend series, Huawei has now shifted its attention to the mid-range smartphone market with the introduction of the low-end Y-series smartphones.
The Huawei Y625 flaunts a 5-inch display with qHD screen resolution, providing users with low-quality visual experience. Although the display is bright, the images projected are not clear. The device is a bit thicker with a width of 9.6 mm and weighs a hefty 160 grams.
The dual-SIM device ships with Android 4.4 KitKat and is available in multiple colour variants like black, White, gold, blue and red. The device is powered by a quad-core 1.2 GHz processor which draws decent performance and 1GB of RAM which allows users to work on multiple apps at the same time but only to a limited extent. The smartphone is equipped with 4GB of on-board storage which can be further expanded up to 32GB using a microSD card.
It comes with an 8-megapixel fixed focus primary camera which is designed to take decent images coupled with an LED flash which helps in low-light photography. At the front, the device has a 2-megapixel secondary shooter using which you can make videos calls and take selfies.
Connectivity options include 3G, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, WiFi hotspot, Bluetooth 4.0 and a microUSB 2.0 port to transfer files effortlessly to and fro from your PC. GPS provides real-time navigation. The device is powered with a Li-Ion 2000 mAh battery which is expected to last about a day.
