The iBall Slide i701 is the world s cheapest tablet to be running Windows 8.1, though that doesn t mean that the device is short of features. It comes with an attractive 7-inch HD IPS display, 1GB RAM and a quad-core Intel Atom processor.

The device comes with a back cover which is autographed by Kareena Kapoor, the brand ambassador of iBall. In addition, it will ship with three interchangeable protective covers and a HDMI cable. The accessories which are being shipped with the device are worth an additional Rs. 1,399, the company claims. The device ships with Windows 8.1 OS out of the box and will be upgradable to Windows 10 OS for free upon launch of the operating system.

The tablet only offers basic imaging solutions in the form of a 2-megapixel rear shooter and a VGA front-facing camera. However for the price point, these aren t very bad features. The front camera can record videos too and even allows you to make video calls with ease.

The tablet features a 7-inch IPS capacitive touch screen having HD (1280 720 pixels) resolution. Powering the tablet is an Intel Atom processor which is paired with 1GB of RAM to ensure seamless performance on the tablet. The tablet also offers ample storage options in the form of 16GB of on board memory. Additional storage space of up to 32GB can be added to the device via an external microSD card.

Though the device doesn t come with a SIM slot, a 3G dongle can be connected to the tablet to access the internet at blazing speeds. The tablet comes with WiFi 802.11 b/h/n, a micro HDMI slot, Bluetooth 4.0 and a microUSB slot. A 3200mAh battery is the source of power for the iBall Slide i701 and can comfortably keep the device active for up to 12 hours.
