LG K40

The LG K40 is an affordable smartphone from the company that still doesn t leave out LG s love for strong builds. The phone measures 153.0 x 71.9 x 8.3mm and it features an MIL-STD-810G compliant design which makes it more resistant to drops and shock. At the front, there s a 5.7-inch FullVision IPS LCD screen with HD+ resolution (1440x720 pixels), 18:9 aspect ratio, and 282ppi pixel density. At the rear, the phone has a capacitive fingerprint reader for securely unlocking the device. On the left side of the LG K40, there s a dedicated Google Assistant button, which is quite nice. The phone is only available in Blue.

There is a single 16MP camera on the LG K40 s back. The rear-facing camera uses phase-detection autofocus mechanism and has an LED flash, HDR, panorama mode, and 1080p video recording. At the front, LG K40 rocks an 8MP selfie camera and an LED flash at the front. The phone uses LG s AI-assisted camera algorithms which helps in capturing better-looking pictures. There is a single loudspeaker on the phone and a dedicated 3.5mm headphone jack. The phone also features DTS:X Surround Sound, which makes listening to music and video more enjoyable while using earphones or headphones.

The LG K40 uses a processing chipset with eight 64-bit CPU cores out of which at least four cores are clocked at 2.0GHz. The processor is paired with 2GB RAM and 32GB internal storage. There s a microSD card slot inside the LG K40, which means that you can expand the storage space by up to an additional 512GB. The phone runs Android 9 (Pie)-based LG UX software.

The LG K40 uses a 3000mAh non-removable battery. There is no mention of fast charging. Wireless connectivity features on the phone include dual-SIM card slot, dual-4G LTE, dual-VoLTE, GPS, Wi-Fi b/g/n, Wi-Fi Direct, Google Cast, and Bluetooth 4.2. The phone s wired connectivity features include a microUSB 2.0 port and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
