The Lyf Flame 1 is a cost-effective, entry-level smartphone that supports 4G VoLTE data, has standard core specs and battery for its price range, and a compact screen to boot.
Display and Design
The Flame 1 comes with a 4.5-inch FWVGA touchscreen TFT display that provides good image quality and contrast and touch response time. The phone has 480p resolution, enough for watching videos and to display text legibly. The 4.5-inch screen also allows users to use the phone comfortably with one hand. The phone measures 9.3mm thick and weighs 138 grams in its plastic casing that is available in three colors: red, white and black. The volume and power buttons are on the right, the audio jack on top and the microUSB charging port on the bottom edge.

The Flame 1 runs on a basic Qualcomm Snapdragon 210 MSM8909 SoC with an energy-efficient 1.1GHz quad-core ARM Cortex-A7 CPU and an entry level Qualcomm Adreno 304 GPU that will run simple games such as Angry Birds and everyday multimedia tasks. The phone runs Android 5.1 Lollipop. The phone’s 1GB RAM is sufficient to keep the phone from lagging while performing everyday tasks. On board storage is limited to a standard 8GB that is expandable to 32GB.
Camera and Battery
The cameras on the Flame 1 are a 5-megapixel rear camera with LED flash for low light conditions, and a 5-megapixel front camera. The camera app features autofocus, geotagging, panorama, HDR, touch focus, and face detection. The smartphone is powered by a 2,000mAh removable Li-ion battery that lasts 8 hours.
Connectivity and other features
The phone supports two micro-SIM cards, 4G VoLTE for faster voice and video calling which happens to be the central line of Reliance's promotion of its Lyf mobiles, WiFi b/g/n, has a microUSB v2.0 port, GPS, and Bluetooth v4.0. Sensors include an accelerometer and a proximity sensor.
