LYF Flame 6

The Lyf Flame 6 is an entry-level smartphone that is part of the Flame series, one of four series of mobile phones manufactured and sold by Reliance as part of its 4G mobile data promotions. It is an entry-level smartphone priced at under Rs. 5,000.

The phone comes with a compact 4.0-inch WVGA touchscreen display that can easily be used with one hand. The display has 480p resolution and 218 PPI pixel density adequate to display everyday content. The display is protected by Asahi Dragontail glass. It has a matte finish back for a no-slip grip and a gold bezel for aesthetics. The phone measures a large 10.60mm thick and is 162 grams heavy and is available only in black.

The Flame 6 runs 5.1 Lollipop on a 1.5GHz quad-core CPU and an unremarkable 512RAM that will run basic tasks but might falter with complex ones. The chipset features a Mali-400 MP2 GPU. It has a limited 4GB of storage expandable to 32GB with a microSD card.

The rear and front cameras are 2-megapixels. The camera app features a face detection mode, panorama, burst mode, and HD and slow motion recording. An anti-banding feature corrects shaken or blurry images. A 1,750mAh removable battery powers the phone. This should last less than a day with average use. Reliance also says the phone will last for upto 14 hours of music playback.

The Flame 6 supports a regular SIM and a nano SIM along with 4G, 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, and a microUSB 2.0 port. Sensors include an accelerometer and proximity sensor. The phone supports ten Indian languages.
