LeEco Cool S1

The LeEco Cool S1 is the latest smartphone from the LeEco and Coolpad collaboration in the premium category. The phone is available in 4GB/32GB, 6GB/64GB variants and 6GB/128GB variants. The 4GB/32GB variant is priced at under Rs. 25,000.

The Cool S1 features a 5.50-inch Full HD resolution, 401 PPI pixel density IPS LCD display that shows media with brightness and contrast. The phone is encased in a metal body that is currently available only in gold. The phone measures 151.4 x 74.7 x 7.5 mm and is 168 grams heavy.

The LeEco Cool S1 runs EUI 5.8 on top of Marshmallow 6.0 on a whopping 2.35 GHz quad-core Kryo processor and 4GB of RAM on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 MSM8996 Pro chipset that equips the phone with performance and speed. 32GB of storage is what users get with the Cool S1 smartphone that can be increased to 128GB with SD cards. An Adreno 530 GPU powers graphics on the phone.

The primary camera on the Cool S1 is 16-megapixels that captures quality images. The rear camera is aided by dual LED flash, digital zoom, PDAF and laser autofocus, and is capable of HD and 4K video recording. The secondary camera on the Cool S1 is an 8-megapixel camera that takes clear images but does not feature LED flash. The battery on the Cool S1 is a 4,070mAh Li-Po non-removable battery that powers the phone for a day and more through Quick Charge 3.0 technology that fills the battery in less than 90 minutes. The phone is equipped with Harman Clari-Fi audio technology and does not feature an audiojack. Users will have to use the USB Type-C port to connect headphones.

The LeEco Cool S1 is a dual-SIM phone that supports 3G mobile data, GPS and A-GPS for navigation, a USB Type-C port, USB OTG, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, and Bluetooth 4.1 to sync with Bluetooth-enabled devices. Sensors on the phone include a light sensor, proximity sensor and an accelerometer. The phone sports a square fingerprint sensor on the back.
