Micromax Bolt S301 is a budget smartphone that comes with the most essential features and runs Android 4.4.2 out of the box.

The device sports a very compact body and comes with a screen that measures only 3.5-inches. The small screen is sufficient for navigating through the most basic phone functions while also allowing you to consume media at an WVGA(854x480) resolution. Despite the apparently poor resolution, the small size of the screen ensures that the device has a pixel density of 280PPI.

The device comes with a modest 512MB of RAM which is good enough for making phone calls or texting but the device is definitely not equipped with handling a lot of applications being run simultaneously. The processor on board is a 1GHz single-core unit. The device offers 4GB of built in storage but further storage can be added to the device via a microSD card giving it a maximum capacity of 16GB. However, since the device is not geared to be a media powerhouse, the lack of storage space is not bound to be an issue.
