The Micromax Canvas Tab P650 is the first tablet to be launched in the Canvas series. The tablet features a SIM card slot, and can be used for voice calling and 3G browsing. Under the hood, the Canvas Tab features the MediaTek MT8389 chip, which includes a 1.2 GHz quad-core Cortex A7 CPU. The Canvas Tab comes with 1 GB DDR3 RAM, 16 GB internal memory, of which 11.07 GB is available to the user, and a micro-SD card slot that boosts overall storage to 32 GB.
Screen and Design
The Canvas Tab comes with an 8-inch screen with a resolution of 1024 x 768, which gives it a pixel density of 160 ppi. Tablets like the Nexus 7 offer a better screen, but such devices follow a 7-inch form factor. Coming over to the design, the Canvas Tab features a similar plastic design as mobiles in the Canvas series, with the Micromax logo prominently shown off at the back. The tablet comes in blue and white colour variations.
Camera and Multimedia
The Canvas Tab comes with a 5 megapixel camera at the back that can shoot 720p videos. The 2 megapixel shooter at the front of the tablet is ideal for video calling, which you can do on 3G networks thanks to the SIM card slot included in the device.
