Oppo has launched the new Find X series phones, it has also upgraded its mid-range lineup over the past few weeks. And now, the brand is looking to refresh its budget phones, starting with the A54. The new Oppo A series phone packs a 6.51-inch HD+ display that offers 720x1600 pixels resolution. The screen gets a punch hole design that houses the selfie camera. With this quality, you get a screen with pixel density of 270PPI. The new Oppo phone comes powered by MediaTek Helio P35 chipset. It comes paired with 4GB RAM and offers 64GB internal storage which is further expandable up to 256GB using the dedicated card slot. Oppo A54 comes with triple rear camera that comprises of 13MP primary sensor, 2MP sensor and 2MP depth sensor. On the front, it has 16MP selfie camera that also supports video calls. The phone is equipped with a 5000mAh battery that supports 18W fast charging via USB Type C port. Other features on the phone are side-mounted fingerprint sensor, face unlock, USB OTG, dual SIM support and headphone jack. Some of the popular Oppo mobiles in the market are F17 Pro, A53 2020 and the A12.

Verdict
Oppo A54 packs a modest set of features for its price in the market. The phone runs on Android 10 OS, powered by basic Helio P35 chipset with 4GB RAM that might not satisfy most users in the segment. The triple cameras get the job done in daylight, but the low light quality is average. You get long backup with the 5,000mAh battery that supports 18W fast charging. But the screen only offers HD+ resolution, lacks refresh rate support and faces hefty competition from other devices. Worth looking at other options in this price range.

Oppo A54 sports a 6.51-inch HD+ display that offers 720x1600 pixels resolution. The screen comes with a punch hole cut out at the top-left that houses the front camera. With the 20:9 aspect ratio design, the phone gets screen to body ratio of 85 percent. The dimensions of the phone measure at 8.4mm thickness, and weight of 192 grams. The power button and the volume rocker are placed on the right of the phone. For security purpose, the A54 supports face unlock that works through the selfie camera and side-mounted fingerprint sensor which is built into the power button.
