Panasonic P9 Details

Introduction
Panasonic announced the release of their latest budget smartphone, the Panasonic P9. Of late, many smartphones have been released in the budget price range, and the Panasonic P9 joins the long list of devices. The device is 144.5 72.95 8.6mm in size and weighs approximately 144 grams. It is available in two colours, Champagne Gold and Black.
Display and Camera
The Panasonic P9 sports a 5-inch FWVGA IPS LCD panel with a resolution of 720x1280. The primary camera is 8-megapixels with a f/2.0 aperture lens and LED flash, which gives it a slight edge when it comes to low light photography. The secondary camera is 5-megapixels, just about enough to capture a decent selfie. Due to the low cost of the device, the camera performance isn't expected to be stellar, offering just the essentials.
Hardware and Software
The hardware on the Panasonic P9 has been scaled down significantly to keep manufacturing costs low. The SoC is a quad-core MediaTek MT6737M clocked at 1.1GHz along with 1GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage that can be expanded up to 32GB via microSD expansion. The lack of RAM is a bit of a disappointment because some of the most commonly used applications such as Facebook and Messenger are resource heavy and might not perform optimally with only 1GB of RAM to work with. It is powered by an underwhelming 2,210mAh battery which will most likely require you to carry a power bank around. The device is expected to run Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box.
Connectivity and Additional Features
The Panasonic P9 is a dual SIM phone with the one SIM compatible with 4G and VoLTE, and the other compatible with 3G. Other connectivity features include 802.11 b/g/n WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS and a micro USB port for charging and data transfer. The device is ideal as a backup 4G capable device for emergencies or as a starter phone for new and elderly users. Grab yours at the lowest price online by checking out our best offers.
