Pebble Steel

After Pebble launched its first smartwatch the only modification came is the use of steel in place of plastic in the new Pebble Steel smartwatch. The Pebble Steel isn t that premium but comes with a more stylish look and has a curved Gorilla Glass screen.

The device in spite of offering storage spaces offers eight slots for apps or games. With the number of essential apps the eight slots can become an annoying factor. With the steel body the smartwatch also comes with a stainless steel band. The device has a 1.26-inch Black and White LCD e-paper display. It runs proprietary Pebble operating system which can be customised to Real Time operating system just like its predecessor. The device can connect to Android and iOS devices by Bluetooth 2.1 and 4.0. The charge on the smartwatch lasts up to 4 days which beats any other smartwatches.

The device is powered by an 80 MHz ARM Cortex M3 processor, under the hood there is a three colour LED light which indicates that the battery is charging. The device is also water-proof and at the same time is scratch resistant thanks to the presence of Corning s Gorilla Glass. The Pebble Steel has room for replaceable wrist bands. The device is 10.5 mm thick and weighs 56 grams. The smartwatch is powered by a 140 mAh battery. Similar to its predecessor, the smartwatch when connected to Android and iOS devices can receive calls, e-mail, social media notifications, etc.
