Realme has built its mark over the past year or so, giving them a market standing with the likes of Xiaomi and Samsung. It started off as a sub-brand but focusing on quality devices at affordable price point has helped them gain a decent market share globally. And now, after launching the Realme 7 series, now it is time for 8 series from the brand which includes the 8 Pro. This phone comes with a 6.4-inch Super AMOLED display with support for Full HD+ resolution at 1080x2400 pixels. It comes powered by octa-core Snapdragon 720G processor from Qualcomm. This gets paired with 6GB RAM and Adreno 618 GPU for additional performance boost. The phone offers 128GB onboard storage that is further expandable up to 256GB using the microSD card slot. The 8 Pro from Realme packs quad rear cameras that includes 108MP sensor, 8MP ultra-wide sensor, 2MP sensor and 2MP depth sensor. On the front, it has 16MP selfie camera. Realme continues to use the 4,500mAh battery unit and this time you get 50W fast charging via USB Type C port. Other features worth mentioning are the on-screen fingerprint sensor, headphone jack, and support for face unlock. Some of the known Realme mobiles with 6GB RAM are the 7 Pro, Narzo 20 Pro and the 6 Pro.

Verdict
Realme 8 Pro goes heads up with the new Redmi Note 10 Pro Max. This phone packs an 108MP camera, runs on Android 11 OS and sports a Super AMOLED display. The built-in battery supports 50W fast charging for quick boot up. But the screen misses out on high refresh rate at this price, the phone comes powered by an older Snapdragon chipset and other cameras at the back are average at best. Should consider other phones in this price bracket.

The 8 Pro from Realme gets a 6.4-inch Super AMOLED display with support for Full HD+ resolution. The screen gets 1080x2400 pixels and pixel density of 411 PPI. The 20:9 aspect ratio screen features punch hole design that houses the front camera at the top-left. The power button sits on the right side of the phone and the volume rocker on the left side.

Realme has used the latest octa-core Snapdragon 720G chipset from Qualcomm. This gets paired with 6GB RAM and Adreno 618 GPU for overall performance. You also have 128GB onboard storage that is further expandable up to 256GB using the dedicated memory card slot. This allows you to use two SIM cards as well. The phone runs on Realme UI built over the latest Android 11 operating system. The phone comes with quad rear cameras that consists of 108MP primary sensor, 8MP ultra-wide-angle sensor, 2MP sensor and 2MP depth sensor. While on the front, the phone has 16MP selfie camera for video calls.
