Samsung Galaxy S Duos Details

The Galaxy S Duos is a low-cost dual SIM version of Samsung's original Galaxy S flagship.
The phone has a 4-inch TFT LCD display with a resolution of 800x480 pixels. Unlike Samsung's flagship AMOLED displays, the Galaxy S Duos' display is not very notable in any aspect but does offer a small screen size for those that don't like bigger devices. The screen is capacitive and is hence quite smooth to operate. There is a single-core Snapdragon processor running the engine under the hood and is not exactly the best of performers, and RAM is also low at 768MB, making it unsuitable for multitasking and productivity.
The Galaxy S Duos features 4GB of storage out of the box, but users can add more by using the microSD slot. Up to 32GB cards are supported. There are two SIM slots on the phone; both can stay active at the same time, but if you're talking on one SIM, then the other will not be able to receive calls and will redirect them to the first number. The battery capacity is 1,500 mAh, and the phone manages to last quite long because of the low-power hardware.
The device features a primary camera with a resolution of 5-megapixel, with an LED flash included. It can record videos as well, at a maximum resolution of 1280x720 pixels. The front camera is a VGA unit and can be used for capturing self-portraits with friends and family and for making video calls over the web. Photos can be uploaded to the web using any of the inbuilt connectivity technologies, including Wi-Fi and 3G, or transferred to a desktop computer or laptop with a microUSB cable.
The Galaxy S Duos runs Android 4.1 Jelly Bean with Samsung's customized user interface on top, which adds much-needed functionality not present in core Android. The device isn't expected to get any major software upgrades to newer versions of the operating system, and is mostly an option for those that are looking for a secondary smartphone for calls and messaging.
