Available in silver, black and rose gold colours the Samsung Galaxy Watch sports a stainless steel build. The device also comes with IP68 certification which makes it water-resistant and dust-proof. Also, it is the first smartwatch from Samsung to be MIL-STD-810G certified. The MIL-STD-810G certification ensures that the watch can withstand harsh climatic conditions and also is shock-proof. 
In terms of display, the smartwatch flaunts a 1.3-inch Super AMOLED display which offers good legibility in both indoor and outdoor conditions. Also, the screen features Corning's Gorilla Glass DX+ protection.
Performance and Connectivity
The Samsung Galaxy Watch is powered by the proprietary dual-core 1.15GHz Exynos 9110 chipset and 1.5GB of RAM that ensures a lag-free and smooth performance. 
Connectivity options that tag along with the smartwatch include Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS, Bluetooth 4.2, and NFC.
Platform and Battery
The device is backed by a non-removable Li-Ion 472mAh battery which is touted to support a standby time of 72 hours upon mixed usage. The smartwatch can also be charged wirelessly.
On the software front, the Galaxy Watch is based on the Tizen 4.0 operating system out of the box.
