The display is protected by Gorilla Glass 6 and is HDR-certified. At the heart of the Sony Xperia 5 Plus sits the Snapdragon 855 chipset as well as 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage space. As for camera specs, you get a similar setup as the Xperia 5 with a trio of 12MP shooters on the rear. What’s different is an additional 3D TOF sensor on the back camera setup. You can shoot selfies with the modest 8MP snapper on the front. You get 18W fast charging on the 4000mAh battery inside the Xperia 5 Plus which runs on Android 10. Sony is still not ready to play the notch game on the Xperia series as it has a regular bezel at the top. The 6.6-inch display is an OLED panel that is also HDR certified with a wide BT2020 color gamut. The screen offers a resolution of 1080 x 2520 pixels and is protected by Gorilla Glass 6. It has an aspect ratio of 21:9 and has a pixel density of 415 ppi.
Snapdragon 855 Chipset, Quad Camera
You get a quad-sensor setup on the back of the Sony Xperia 5 Plus. The rear camera setup consists of a 12MP wide sensor, a 12MP telephoto camera, another 12MP ultrawide sensor, and a 3D TOF sensor. You can shoot 4K videos with the rear camera. On the front, you have an 8MP selfie snapper that can also record 1080p videos. The processing inside the phone is managed by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 chipset within. The SoC comes with an Adreno 640 GPU on board to handle graphics-intensive tasks. The Sony Xperia 5 Plus also packs 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage and you can add up to 1TB of expandable storage as well, using the hybrid slot. The phone runs on Android 10.
4000mAh Battery, 18W Fast Charging, Connectivity Options
The Sony Xperia 5 Plus comes with a 4000mAh cell that also supports 18W fast charging. In terms of connectivity, you get Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, dual-band WiFi, Bluetooth 5.0, and A-GPS. You get a Type C USB port for data transfer and charging and a 3.5mm jack for earphones, while the fingerprint sensor is mounted on the side.
