Sony Xperia S

Sony Xperia S is the premium smartphone from the NXT range of Sony Xperia smartphone. The phone has a bar shaped form factor and sports a 4.3" LED back-lit capacitive touch screen. The phone runs on Android 2.3 Gingerbread with a planned upgrade to Android 4 Ice Cream Sandwich. The phone is powered by a 1.5GHz Dual Core smartphone with 1 GB RAM.

The phone has a 12MP camera with auto focus and LED flash. The camera has some mind blowing features such as Geo tagging, auto face and smile detection, touch focus to help with taking high quality pictures. The camera also lets you take 3D panoramic pictures and comes with image stabilization. The phone supports the playback of popular audio formats such as MP3, eAAC+, WMA and WAV and popular video formats such as MP4, H.263, H.264 and WMV.

Sony Xperia S runs on quad band 2G and quad band 3G networks. The phone connects to the internet using GPRS, EDGE and Wifi. The phone also has Bluetooth 2.1, Micro USb 2.0 and NFC to cater to other connectivity needs. The phone in fact comes with 4 free NFC tags that can be programmed to do basic tasks such as changing the phone's audio profile, or activating alarms etc.

The phone has a 1750 mAh standard Li-Ion battery that can provide a talk time of up to 7 hrs and 30 min in 3G and up to 8 hrs and 30 min in 2G networks. The phone comes with 32 GB of internal memory with no option to expand.
