The Xiaomi Redmi Note 7S 32GB variant is the lowest priced variant of the smartphone. It was launched to slowly replace the Redmi Note 7. The phone features the exact same specs as that of the Redmi Note 7 except the rear-facing camera. The Redmi Note 7S uses a 48MP sensor instead of a 12MP sensor found on the Redmi Note 7. The phone has a 6.3-inch IPS LCD screen with a dot-shaped notch at the top and Full HD+ resolution. The phone runs Android 9 Pie-based MIUI 10 software and uses the combination of Snapdragon 660 processor, 3GB RAM, and 32GB storage. It has a 48MP+5MP camera on the rear and a 13MP front-facing camera. The rear camera performance on the Redmi Note 7S gets noticeable improvements over the Note 7. The smartphone boasts a wonderful design with a reasonably sturdy build. It has a good display and offers an impressive battery life. A great value proposition overall.
Cons
MIUI is plagued with too many advertisements. The audio levels from both the loudspeaker and earpiece could have been better. Video recording still feels lacking on this phone.

The most notable improvement of the Redmi Note 7S comes in the imaging department. The phone has a 48MP+5MP dual-camera setup on the rear. The 48MP sensor is ½-inch in size, has 0.8-micron pixels and PDAF. The rear-facing camera can also record 1080p videos. The 5MP camera acts as a depth sensor so that it can help in capturing images with background blur effect. The rear-facing camera captures 12MP images after 4-in-1 pixel binning process. At the front, the Redmi Note 7S has a 13MP selfie camera which can also record 1080p videos.

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 7S uses the same Snapdragon 660 processor that’s used inside the Redmi Note 7. The phone has 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. There’s a hybrid microSD card slot for further storage expansion. The phone runs Android 9 Pie-based MIUI 10 software, which comes with dozens of additional features such as dark mode, built-in image and video editors, extended screenshot, app lock, built-in payment system, wireless file transfer service, and many more.
