Xolo 8X-1000

Xolo launched the company s latest flagship device, Xolo 8X-1000. The smartphone priced at Rs 13,999 comes with its new HIVE User Interface on top.

The Xolo 8X-1000 running Android 4.4 KitKat features a 5-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen with HD (1280 x 720 pixels) screen resolution which in turn boasts an effective pixel density of 294 PPI. Under the hood the device is powered by an octa-core processor with a clock speed of 2 GHz with Mali-450 GPU. The 5-inch HD screen is protected by ASAHI Dragontrail glass.

The device comes with an 8-megapixel Exmor R Sensor rear camera with LED flash which is capable of taking quality images and recording full high definition videos. The smartphone also sports a 2-megapixel front camera using which one can take selfies, record videos and make efficient video calls. In addition, the camera supports Scene detection and tuning, Face recognition, Low light enhancement, Smile detection, Voice capture, etc. In terms of memory, the device has 2 GB RAM paired with an internal storage capacity of 16 GB which can further be expanded up to 32 GB courtesy microSD card slot.

Unfortunately, the device is available only in Black colour but the back panel too boasts a glass body with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. Connectivity options include 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Wi-Fi Direct, Bluetooth 4.0 and microUSB 2.0 port. Further the device is powered by a Li-Ion 2300 mAh battery which supports talk time up to 11 hours. The smartphone also comes with Accelerometer, Proximity sensor, Ambient light sensor and Hall Effect sensor.
