Xolo Q510s Details

Xolo released the Xolo Q510s in September 2014 as an entry-level Android smartphone with dual-SIM capabilities. It features a 4-inch IPS LCD display, a 1.3GHz quad-core MT6582M processing unit, 1GB RAM, 8GB storage, 5MP primary camera, VGA secondary camera, Android 4.4 KitKat, and 1,500 mAh battery. This device can be seen as a slight upgrade when compared to the Xolo Q500s due to increased RAM and internal storage space. The Xolo Q510s was officially released in India with a price tag of Rs. 5,799.
The Q510s has a sleek metal-finish body with rounded corners, and a golden coloured strip running around the device. The black coloured front holds the display, navigational capacitive keys, front-facing camera, a couple of sensors, and an earpiece. The power button has been laid out on the right and the volume rocker is on the right hand side of the device. The metallic-finished back can be removed using the provided latch. The camera, an LED flash, and the loudspeaker are on the backside of the device. Mass storage card, SIM card, and the battery can be replaced after removing the back.
The 4-inch IPS LCD display has a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels, so its pixel density comes to around 233 pixels per inch. The company has not covered the screen with any kind of protection, so you have to be careful while handling the device. The 5-megapixel primary camera that is placed on the back has autofocus lens, LED flash, and Full HD 1080p video recording at 30fps. It also supports modes like face detection, geo-tagging, HDR, and Panorama. Scene detection & tuning is a part of the camera software that helps in identifying the scene and sets the values accordingly for better images. The VGA front-facing camera can click images and record videos, but it would be wrong to expect good quality from it.
The Xolo Q510s comes equipped with a MediaTek MT6582M processor that uses a 1.3GHz quad-core ARM Cortex-A7 CPU and Mali-400MP2 GPU clocked at 416MHz. 1GB RAM is enough for decent multitasking as Android 4.4 KitKat brought in better multitasking performance to device with a limited amount of RAM. Accelerometer, ambient-light sensor, and proximity sensor are present in the device. Connectivity is take care by the presence of Dual SIM card slots, HSPA (21 Mbps download; 5.76 Mbps upload), Wi-Fi b/g/n, Wi-Fi Direct, Wi-Fi Hotspot, A-GPS, Bluetooth v4.0, microUSB 2.0 port, and a headphone jack.
On the software front, Xolo has installed Android 4.4.2 KitKat in the device. The software comes bundled with necessary applications like music and video players, email, messaging app, calendar, clock, and many others, but Google Play Store can be used to download third-party apps, games, media, and live wallpapers. The 1,500 mAh battery will take 3 hours to get fully charged using the supplied charger. Xolo is promising that the device will last up to 390 hours on 2G and 320 hours on 3G in stand-by mode. When it comes to talk-time, the device will last 15 hours on 2G and 7 hours on 3G.
