Xolo unveiled its latest Q-series smartphone, Q900s at Rs 9,999. The Xolo Q900s runs Android 4.3 Jelly Bean and features a 4.7-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen with qHD (960 x 540 pixels) screen resolution which reflects an effective pixel density of 234 PPI which is lower than Win Q900s HD display. The Q900s also sports One Glass Solution which reduces the thickness of the display. The screen on the device features scratch resistant Dragon Trail Glass.
In addition the smartphone has ambient light, accelerometer, magnetometer and proximity sensor. As far as the memory of the smartphone is concerned, the Xolo Q900s has 1 GB RAM backed up by an internal storage capacity of 8 GB which can further be expanded up to 32 GB using the microSD card slot present on the device.
Under the hood, the Q900s follows Xolo's quad-core tradition as the device is powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 Cortex-A7 SoC with Adreno 302 GPU. In the imaging department, the smartphone comes with an 8-megapixel PureCel sensor rear camera with LED flash using which one can capture quality images in both high and low light environments and record HD videos. The smartphone also has a 2-megapixel front camera which can be used to capture selfies and record videos.
However, the most important aspect of the device is that it is extremely light weighted. The device is only 7.2 mm thick and weighs only 100 grams. On its body the device hosts two buttons, one is the power key and the other one is the volume controller. The operating system on which the device runs can be upgraded to 4.4 KitKat. On the connectivity front, the device comes with 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and microUSB 2.0 port. The Xolo Q900s is available only in Black colour. The budget smartphone device packs a Li-Po 1800 mAh battery which delivers up to 23 hours talk time.
