ZTE Blade V8 Pro

The ZTE Blade V8 Pro is the latest from ZTE featuring a number of improvements over the ZTE Blade V8 and ZTE Blade V7 smartphones.

The ZTE Blade V8 Pro features a 5.50-inch Full HD resolution IPS LCD that is larger than the V8 and V7’s 5.2-inch displays. The display is protected with Gorilla Glass 3 against minor physical damage. The V8 Pro is also the larger of the phones measuring 156 x 77 x 9.1 mm and heavier at 185 grams. The device is available only in black at the moment. The home button on the front doubles as a fingerprint sensor.

The V8 Pro runs Marshmallow 6.0.1 on a Snapdragon 625 chipset that features an 8-core 2.0 GHz Cortex-A53 processor and 3GB of RAM. Processing speed has seen an improvement over the V8 and V7’s 1.3 GHz and 1.4 GHz processors. Users get 32GB of storage space with this phone that can be increased to 256GB with an SD card, which fits into SIM slot 2. The V8 and V7 devices featured 32GB, 64GB and 16GB of storage space with similar expandable options. Adreno 506 GPU handles games and graphics on the V8 Pro.

A 13-megapixel dual camera setup is at the rear of the phone that captures images with detail and clarity. The secondary camera is aided by dual LED flash and PDAF. The rear camera records in Quad HD and Full HD resolutions, both at 30fps.The front camera is 8-megapixels that takes clear images, also records in Full HD resolution, while the V8 and V7 featured 13MP and 5MP front cameras. The battery on the V8 Pro is 3,140mAh non-removable Li-ion that lasts a day. The V8 and V7 come with 2,500mAh and 2,730mAh respectively that lasted twenty hours at best.

The V8 Pro accommodates dual nano SIM cards that enable 4G and 3G mobile data. Other connectivity options the phone provides include Bluetooth 4.2, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, GPS, A-GPS, GLONASS, USB Type C. The V8 Pro also supports NFC. The home button doubles as a fingerprint sensor.
