Introduction and Design
The Gionee A1 is the latest handset out from the stables of the China-based smartphone maker. The A1 is much like the M6 but packs better hardware. The device also sports a fingerprint sensor which is slotted at the back. The smartphone has rounded edges which make it easy to hold and carry around.
Camera and Display
The Gionee A1 comes with a 16-megapxiel front-facing shooter which is capable of capturing stunning selfies and video calls. At the back, the device is armed with a 13-megapixel rear camera which is supported with an LED flash which can be used for shooting in the dark. 
The A1 boasts a 5.5-inch Full HD AMOLED display which combined with wide viewing angles provides a unique visual experience which watching videos or playing games. The screen on the handset is also protected by Corning's Gorilla Glass. 
Storage and Performance
At its heart, to enable smooth and lag-free performance, the device is powered by a 2.0GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6755 Helio P10 chipset and 4GB of RAM. 
For storing apps and files, there is 64GB of onboard storage which can be expanded further up to 128GB using a microSD card.
