Nokia 800 Tough Details

Design
True to its name, the Nokia 800 Tough is built like a tank. At the core, it looks like a standard Nokia feature phone, but with some serious armor on the outside. The device is IP69 certified, which means that it can withstand water submersion as deep as 1.5 meters for up to 30 minutes. It is also sealed to keep the dust, sand, and other fine particles outside. The Nokia 800 Tough has a proper grip on the sides, but if you still manage to drop it, the handset can take a 1.8-meter fall without any issue. Nokia claims that the phone is compliant with the Military's MIL-STD-810G requirements. It can operate perfectly well even in extreme temperatures ranging from -20 C to +55 degree Celsius. The phone comes in a black and military camouflage pattern.
Display
The phone sports a 2.4-inch QVGA display. It packs in 240 x 320 pixels and supports up to 256K colors. The panel lacks touch-based input. So for the navigation, the device relies on its D-Pad and heavy-duty rubberized buttons.
Performance
The Nokia 800 Tough ships with KaiOS platform. Forked from Firefox OS, it is not a full-fledged smartphone OS but offers many apps and features on feature phones. Owing to this software, the Nokia 800 Tough lets you access essential apps and services such as WhatsApp, Facebook, and Google Maps. The phone is powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 205 chip. This 28 nm SoC (System on Chip) has a two 1.1 GHz Cortex-A7 cores fused with Adreno 304 GPU. The phone comes with 512 MB RAM and 4 GB internal storage. You can expand it by additional 32 GB via a hybrid slot.
Camera
Moving onto the photography department, the Nokia 800 Tough comes with a 2 MP rear camera accompanied by an LED flash. That's the only shooter on this device as it lacks afront-facing camera.
Battery And Connectivity
The dual SIM phone draws power from a 2,100 mAh battery. Nokia claims that the handset can offer up to 43 days of standby time on a single charge. Other features include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.1, and A-GPS (network assisted).
