The Galaxy A22 5G comes powered by octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 700 chipset, paired with 6GB RAM that brings 5G network support to the affordable bracket. You get 128GB internal storage that is expandable up to 1TB using the dedicated card slot. For imaging duties, the phone gets a triple rear camera that consists of 48MP sensor, 5MP ultra-wide sensor, and 2MP depth sensor. On the front, the phone gets an 8MP selfie camera that also supports video calls. Samsung has loaded the Galaxy A22 5G with a 5000mAh battery that supports 15W fast charging via USB Type C port. Additional features that you get with the phone include side-mounted fingerprint sensor, face unlock and headphone jack. Verdict
Samsung Galaxy A22 5G is an improvement on its 4G variant but still falls short of matching up with its rivals, because it is priced higher than Poco M3 Pro 5G and the Realme 8 5G in the market. You get a 90Hz Super AMOLED display which is a big plus, the 5G-centric Dimensity 700 chipset is reliable for daily use, and you get 6GB RAM with this variant. The battery life will keep you happy. However, the design is dated, cameras are average and only 15W fast charging is not ideal. Unless you do not trust the Chinese brands in the market, get this one. But we suggest you save money and get either Poco M3 Pro 5G or even the 4G-centric Redmi Note 10 phone.
