Samsung is a brand name that has typically been associated with premium devices. After all, when you look at the upper rung of Android devices, the South Korean electronics giant is a staple. The company did dabble in the budget segment of the smartphone market for a while but there were never any notable devices. That was until 2017 and 2018 saw companies like Xiaomi, Oppo and Vivo earn fortunes by catering to the budget range. It was a matter of time before Samsung responded and it finally did, in 2019, with the launch of its A-series and M-series of budget and mid-range devices. Thanks to the incredible success of these devices, we now have the latest device from the M-series the Samsung Galaxy M01s. The new smartphone is a sub Rs 10k model and comes with a 6.1-inch TFT LCD display offering a resolution of 720 x 1520 pixels. There is a water drop notch present as well to house the 8MP front camera. The onboard Snapdragon 439 chipset handles all the computing tasks while you get 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal memory as well. You get a dual snapper system on the rear with a 13MP primary lens and a 5MP deputy sensor. The phone is powered by a 4000mAh cell which is decent enough for a full day of use. Some of the popular Samsung mobile phones include the Samsung Galaxy M20, Samsung Galaxy A80, and the Samsung Galaxy A30s.

The Galaxy M01s is a budget phone and for the price, the performance is decent thanks to the octa-core Snapdragon 439 SoC from Qualcomm. Handling the graphics processing is an Adreno 505 GPU. You get 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal memory plus you can add up to 512GB of expandable memory thanks to the micro SD slot. For photography, you get a 13MP + 5MP dual camera system on the back. You can shoot selfies and record 1080p videos with the back camera as well as the front-facing 8MP selfie camera. The phone runs on One UI and is currently offering Android 10.

The battery inside the Galaxy M01s is a 4000mAh cell which is sufficient for a typical user since the chipset is not very power-hungry. Connectivity options include Bluetooth 5.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, and A-GPS. You get a micro USB port for charging and the phone packs a 3.5mm headphone jack as well. There is a fingerprint sensor present on the back.
