10 or (Tenor) D Details

Introduction
10.or entered the Indian smartphone market with the 10.or E and the 10.or G, both of which we have reviewed. You can read more about them here and here. It was recently revealed that Amazon is the company behind the 10.or range of devices and will release future devices under that name. The 10.or D is a scaled-down version of the 10.or E and will be priced accordingly.
Hardware and Software
The 10.or D opted for the tried and tested, low-end Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 chip to drive the 10.or D. It is clocked at 1.2GHz and comes with an Adreno 308 GPU. The device will come in two variants, one with 2GB RAM 16 GB internal storage and the other with 3GB RAM 32GB internal storage. The battery is a 3,500mAh Li-ion unit, slightly lower than the 4,000mAh battery found on the other 10.or devices. The 10.or D is expected to run a clean, customization-free version of Android Nougat 7.1.1 out of the box, with a possible update to Oreo shortly.
Display and Camera
The 10.or D goes for a smaller 5.2-inch IPS LCD panel (720x1280 resolution), compared to the 5.5-inch panels on their previous devices. The decision to go for a 720p panel as opposed to a 1080p panel is commendable, as the Snapdragon 425 will fare far better with the former. Not much is known about the camera at this point, but it's likely going to be a 13-megapixel primary camera and a 5-megapixel secondary camera.
Connectivity and Additional Features
The 10.or D is a dual-SIM phone with both slots 4G/VoLTE ready. The feature set is likely to be standard, with support for Bluetooth, GPS, 802.11 b/g/n WiFi and a micro USB port. The 10.or D is on-par with the Xiaomi Redmi 5A when it comes to hardware, and we expect it to be priced similarly. As a bonus, it also comes with a fingerprint scanner, something that is absent in the Redmi 5A.
