Apple iPhone 6 Plus 64GB

Apple introduced the iPhone 6 Plus as its premium model with slightly bigger screen and better camera than the iPhone 6. Clad in 7.1mm thick profile, the iPhone 6 Plus weighs 172grams heavy which is expected with its tall form factor.

The iPhone 6 Plus runs the iOS 8.0 out of the box and can be upgraded to the latest iOS build. This mobile OS has been powered with a 64-bit dual-core 1.4GHz Apple A8 system-on-chip codenamed Cyclone teamed with quad-core PowerVR GX6450 GPU for graphics support. A new M8 motion processor aids the mobile chipset to estimate various outside world measurements with reference to speed, elevation, atmospheric, pressure and more.

The Cyclone mobile chipset makes use of only 1GB of RAM to open all the apps quickly and enable the overall user experience smooth. Apple has used a 5.5-inch Retina LED-backlit display which is based on the IPS LCD panel with 1080 1920 pixel resolution and offers crisp 401PPI pixel density. There is an oleophobic coating on the screen in order to avoid the fingerprints from getting easily accumulated.

Deemed to one of the best displays, the Retina resolution also increases the size of the apps and thereby Apple offers the iPhone 6 Plus in 16GB, 64GB and 128GB storage options.

Much touted 8MP iSight rear camera has autofocus with Focus Pixels and f/2.2 aperture to cover wider area. Apple has added Optical Image Stabilisation for supporting the image sensor to capture finer quality images in low-light environments. To aid that, there is a True tone flash that comes in action for estimating the most natural looking tone of the subject. The five-element lens is covered with Hybrid IR fliter and Sapphir Crystal lens cover to combat the harsh lights. Apple has added Exposure control along with improved face detection and one can shoot Panorama in up to 43 pixels wide. Of course, the photo geotagging, timer mode and burst mode continue to exist.

For videos, iPhone 6 Plus can be taken for a ride to record full 1080p HD videos at 30fps or 60fps along with video stabilisation of cinematic video stabilization options. Experiment using the 720p HD slow-motion videos recorded at 120fps or 240fps. Not only that, you can also take a still photo while recording a video or zoom three times into the subject.

Front facing 1.2MP FaceTime camera with BSI sensor has a f/2.2 aperture and supports 720p HD video recording as well as Auto HDR for both videos and photos. Exposure control can be employed for this camera as well.

The iPhone 6 Plus supports a large number of 4G LTE bands, including the Band 3 (1800 MHz) and Band 40 (2300 MHz) for India using a nano-SIM card. Apart from that, the dual-band Wi-Fi a/b/g/n/ac promise high speed downloads and blazing mobile web experience. Apple has loaded bunch of sensors that include Accelerometer, Gyroscope, Proximity Sensor, Compass, and Barometer. Entire hardware is backed by a 2915 mAh non-removable Li-Po battery which can easily run a day on 3G networks.
