Nokia 2.2

The Nokia 2.2 launched in India on 7th June 2019 at an event in Delhi with a price tag of INR 6,999 for the 2GB RAM + 16GB storage variant, and INR 7,999 for the 3GB RAM + 32GB storage variant. According to Nokia, the Nokia 2.2 is the most affordable Android One smartphone in India, at the time of its launch.

The Nokia 2.2 brings with it a 5.71-inch IPS LCD with HD+ resolution. The display has a 19:9 aspect ratio, and a U-shaped notch at the top. The display also comes with Always-on feature; it basically shows notifications on the screen, even when the device is not active.

The Nokia 2.2 has a single camera at the front and rear. The rear camera is a 13MP sensor, and it features 1/3-inch sensor size, 1.12um pixel size, f/2.2 aperture, and needless to say it has autofocus and an LED flash. The rear camera is capable of recording Full HD (1920 x 1080) videos at 30 frames per second. The front-facing camera is a 5MP unit that. The front-facing camera also comes with the face unlock feature.

The MediaTek Helio A22 (also known as MT6761) SoC powers the Nokia 2.2. The chipset has quad-core Cortex-A53 cores clocked at 2.0GHz, and for graphics, it has PowerVR GE8320 GPU. Nokia launched the Nokia 2.2 in India in two variants 2GB RAM + 16GB storage, and 3GB RAM + 32GB storage. And this particular variant is the one with 2GB RAM + 16GB storage configuration. The Nokia 2.2 has Android 9 Pie operating system, and it is an Android One certified device as well. Being an Android One device, the Nokia 2.2 features a stock UI.

The Nokia 2.2 comes with a 3000mAh battery, and it supports 5W charging. The battery is assisted by a software feature called Adaptive Battery, which is an in-built feature of Android 9 Pie; it helps the smartphone in optimizing the battery usage to offer longer battery backup. In terms of connectivity, the Nokia 2.2 features dual-SIM with dual-VoLTE, Wi-Fi b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.2, GPS with A-GPS, FM radio, a 3.5mm audio jack, and a microUSB port with OTG functionality.
