Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge 128 GB Details

Introduction & Design
The Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge is the world’s first production device to feature a dual-sided curved display. The curved display not only helps with the looks of the device, but it also helps to make the device compact by eliminating the bezels that surround the display. Hence, the device is very compact, and it is very beautiful to look at. Samsung has used Gorilla Glass 4 on the back of the device instead going with metal. The frame of the device, however, is a metal one to increase the strength as well as the feel in the hand.
Display & Camera
The first thing that comes to anyone’s mind when talking about Galaxy S6 Edge is its curved display. The 5.1-inch curved AMOLED display has a Quad HD resolution resulting in a very vibrant, sharp and bright display. The display provides enough brightness to keep the content viewable under direct sunlight. The Super AMOLED display on the Galaxy S6 Edge 128GB easily outperforms every other LCD display available in the market. The other most important criteria where the device impresses is the imaging section. The 16-megapixel sensor packed with the device has OIS and phase detection autofocus which are the most important aspects of the camera nowadays as they prevent the shaky images, as well as it makes the focusing process faster. Hence a user can capture the moment instantly. The UI of the camera itself is elegant and clean. The primary camera is capable of 4K video recording, whereas, the front-facing camera is limited to QHD video recording. Speaking of which, the secondary camera has a 5-megapixel resolution.
Software & Performance
To take advantage of the dual-curved display, Samsung has worked on the software end to provide the so-called ‘edge panels’. The edge panels in the OS provide shortcuts for applications and contacts when shipped from the right or left of the curved edge of the display. Apart from the shortcuts, the device’s display will light up on the curved end when a user receives a call. The operating system is an Android 6.0 Marshmallow with the latest version of TouchWiz UI from Samsung. The new UI looks very clean and elegant to use. Also, Samsung has unburdened the OS from bloatware and unnecessary features. The performance of the device is top-notch thanks to the Exynos 7420 processor. However, the device struggles sometimes when multiple heavy applications are used at multitasking, due to the insufficient 3GB of RAM. Apart from that, the basic UI is pretty smooth to use. The Galaxy S6 also comes with whopping 128GB of internal storage. However, you can choose for less storage option available from Samsung.
Battery & Connectivity
The Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge 128GB is also the first device to feature wireless charging that is compatible with Qi and PMA. However, fast charging is only possible with world charging. For the world charging and syncing the Galaxy S6 Edge uses microUSB 2.0 port. The basic connectivity options are all present on the Galaxy S6 Edge, but apart from that, it comes with the infrared port to control electronic appliances as well as a fingerprint scanner to quickly unlock the device.
