Tecno is launching more products with focus on the budget consumer. It has the Spark series that has served users well with its previous devices. Now the brand has come out with the Spark 8 that runs on Android Go platform. Spark 8 comes with a 6.5-inch HD+ display that supports 720x1600 pixels resolution. The screen sports a notch design where it houses the selfie camera. The screen of this quality offers pixel density of 270 PPI. Tecno Spark 8 comes powered by MediaTek Helio P22 octa-core chipset, paired with 2GB RAM and offers 64GB internal storage which is further expandable up to 256GB using the dedicated card slot. The phone features a dual rear camera that includes a 16MP primary sensor, and a 2MP depth camera. On the front, it gets an 8MP selfie camera. Tecno has loaded the Spark 8 with a 5000mAh battery that supports charging via microUSB port. Other features on the phone are rear-mounted fingerprint sensor, face unlock, headphone jack and Infrared. Other budget Tecno mobiles include Tecno Spark 7, Tecno Spark 6 Air and the Tecno Spark Go 2020.

Verdict
Tecno Spark 8 is an average budget phone that is priced on the higher side for its features. You get it with Android Go version because of which it only has 2GB RAM but the storage is expandable. The cameras are strictly average but you get long battery life. We suggest you to look at other options in this price range.

Spark 8 gets a 6.5-inch HD+ display with support for 720x1600 pixels resolution. This gives the screen a pixel density of 270 PPI. The display houses the front camera built within the waterdrop notch at the top-centre. The 20:9 aspect ratio of the screen provides a larger viewing area and a screen to body ratio of 81 percent. The power button and the volume rocker are on the right side of the phone. For security purpose, this phone has a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor support for face unlock that works through the selfie camera.

Tecno has used MediaTek Helio P22 octa-core chipset to power the Spark 8 smartphone. It comes with 2GB RAM. It offers 64GB internal storage that is expandable using the dedicated card slot. The phone runs on Android Go 11 operating system. For imaging purpose, the device comes equipped with dual rear camera that has 16MP primary sensor, and a 2MP depth sensor. While on the front, the phone has an 8MP camera for selfies, shoot videos and take video calls.
