Redmi 9 Activ comes powered by MediaTek Helio G35 octa-core chipset, paired with 4GB RAM and offers 64GB internal storage which is further expandable up to 512GB using the dedicated card slot. The phone comes equipped with a dual rear camera that includes a 13MP primary sensor, and a 2MP sensor. On the front, it gets a 5MP selfie camera. Xiaomi has packed the Redmi 9 Activ with a 5000mAh battery that supports charging via microUSB port. Other features on the phone are rear-mounted fingerprint sensor, face unlock, headphone jack and Infrared. Redmi 9 Activ is another budget phone from Xiaomi that caters to entry-level buyers, who need a large screen phone, with support for basic apps and feature dual rear cameras to shoot pictures. Thanks to 4GB RAM its performance will keep you going without any hassle. However, the front camera is basic, the design is bulky and because of microUSB port the charging of battery is slow.

The display houses the front camera built within the waterdrop notch at the top-centre. The 20:9 aspect ratio of the screen provides a larger viewing area and a screen to body ratio of 81 percent. Redmi 9 Activ weighs 194 grams and gets thickness of 9mm. The power button and the volume rocker are on the right side of the phone. For security purpose, this phone has a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor support for face unlock that works through the selfie camera.

Xiaomi is using the octa-core MediaTek Helio G35 chipset to power the new budget Redmi phone.
