Asus ZenFone 8 Flip

Asus has created a name for itself in the mid-range segment with the ZenFone series. But the Taiwan-based brand wanted to explore its way into the premium bracket with its products as well. Which is why you have the ZenFone 7 series that came out earlier, and now the brand is coming out with the ZenFone 8 series that includes the ZenFone 8 Flip. This phone carries a 6.67-inch AMOLED display that offers Full HD+ quality at 1080x2400 pixels resolution. The screen gets a bezel-less design and produces pixel density stands of 395 PPI. The new ZenFone device comes powered by the octa-core Snapdragon 888 chipset that supports 5G network. The hardware setup includes 8GB RAM and it offers 256GB internal storage that is further expandable. The ZenFone 8 Flip features a motorized camera that doubles up for selfies as well. The motorized system includes a 64MP primary sensor, 12MP ultra-wide-angle sensor, and 8MP telephoto sensor. The phone offers long backup with the help of the built-in 5000mAh battery that supports 30W fast charging via USB Type C port. Other features on the phone are on-screen fingerprint sensor, face unlock and headphone jack for music streaming. Other Asus mobiles in the market are ZenFone Max Pro M1, ZenFone 5Z and the ZenFone Zoom.

Asus ZenFone 8 Flip sports a 6.68-inch AMOLED display that offers Full HD+ resolution at 1080x2400 pixels with a pixel density of 395 PPI. The display comes with bezel-less design. The 20:9 aspect ratio display offers larger viewing area and a screen to body ratio of 84 percent. The phone’s dimensions are on the heavier side with 9.5mm thickness and weight of 230 grams. The power button and the volume rocker are on the right side of the phone. The main security features include the on-screen fingerprint sensor and support for face unlock that works through the selfie camera.

Asus is using the latest flagship Snapdragon 888 octa-core chipset to power the ZenFone 8 Flip. With this hardware, and 8GB RAM on board, the device can easily match up with other premium brands. The phone offers 256GB onboard storage that is further expandable up to 2TB using the hybrid SIM slot. The phone runs on Zen UI version built over Android 11 operating system. For imaging purpose, ZenFone 8 Flip comes with a motorised flip system. This includes triple rear camera of 64MP primary sensor, 12MP ultra-wide-angle sensor, and 8MP telephoto sensor. The same cameras flip over to become a highly-capable front selfie camera that can shoot videos and take video calls as well.
