Asus Zenfone 3

The Asus Zenfone 3 is the latest smartphone that runs the Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow operating system out of the box. The device sports 2.5D Gorilla Glass on both sides which makes it unique. The spun-metal finish on the back which is combined with the glass to evoke a premium feel.

At its heart, the Zenfone 3 is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 SoC to make things run smoothly and ensure that users can enjoy a lag-free smartphone experience. The chipset is paired with 3GB of RAM that allows users to work on multiple apps at the same time. For storing media files and apps the smartphone has 32GB of onboard storage space which can further be expanded up to 128GB via a microSD card using the Hybrid SIM slot.

The Asus Zenfone 3 is available in gold, black, blue and white colour variants. The smartphone also comes with a sandblasted metal frame around it. The speaker is upgraded with a loud '5-magnet' driver powered by an NXP smart amp to deliver an unparalleled audio output. The Asus Zenfone 3 comes with a microUSB Type-C port which is a first for the Taiwanese manufacturer.

For imaging, the device comes with a Sony's 16-megapixel IMX298 sensor which is paired with a dual-tone LED flash and other modes like phase detection autofocus, color-correction RGB sensor, 4-axis optical stabilization for stills and 3-axis electronic stabilization for video recording. In low-light, the dual-tone LED flash helps you capture detailed images and record videos. For selfies, there is an 8-megapixel front-facing shooter coupled with an 85-degree wide view that can also be used for high-end video calling.

The Asus Zenfone 3 boasts a 5.2-inch Full HD Super LCD display that is combined with great viewing angles that offer crisp and vibrant colours. On the connectivity front, the smartphone comes with options like 4G, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, and a microUSB Type-C port. The device is fuelled by a non-replaceable Li-Ion 2,650 mAh battery that keeps the device up for an entire day.

The Zenfone 3 looks great but comes at a cost. It also comes with a fingerprint reader. The device is apt for clicking images and viewing media content.
