BlackBerry DTEK50

The Blackberry DTEK50 is the company’s latest mobile that runs Blackberry OS 10.3. The device has an 8-core processor and a fast RAM, and sports a slim and light design.

The phone comes with a 5.2-inch IPS LCD touchscreen display with 1080p resolution and 424 PPI pixel density that will display videos and images with clarity. The IPS LCD screen will present good readability under direct sunlight and at skewed viewing angles. The screen is scratch-resistant and comes with an oleophobic coating that protects the screen from fingerprints and smudges. The phone measures 7.4 mm thick and is 135 grams heavy. In addition to the volume and power buttons the phone sports on its edges, there is an extra key that can be assigned a function by the user.

The phone runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS on a Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8952 617 SoC with an octa-core processor (quad-core 1.5GHz Cortex-A53 + quad-core 1.2GHz Cortex-A53) that facilitates very efficient multi-tasking. An Adreno 405 GPU handles graphics. The phone also has 3GB of RAM that ensures performance without any lags. Storage capacity on the phone is at 16GB expandable to an appreciable 2TB.

The Blackberry DTEK50 comes with a 13-megapixel primary and 8-megapixel secondary camera. Both cameras come with dual-tone LED flash and HD recording. The camera app on the phone features geo-tagging, face detection, panorama, and auto-focus. The phone is powered by a 2,160mAh non-removable Li-ion battery that will last a day with moderate use.

The phone supports 4G, 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.2, a microUSB 2.0 port and GPS and GLONASS for navigation.
