Gionee is renowned for coming out with phones that have large capacity battery. And most of them feature in the budget segment for buyers. And after a brief hiatus the brand has introduced the new Max Pro smartphone. This device comes with a 6.52-inch HD+ display that offers 720x1600 pixels resolution. The screen features a water drop notch and produces pixel density of 269 PPI. This Gionee phone comes powered by octa-core Unisoc SC9863A chipset, paired with 3GB RAM for basic computing needs. The device offers 32GB onboard storage that is expandable up to 256GB using the dedicated memory card slot. The phone features a dual 13MP + 2MP rear camera. On the front, the phone has an 8MP selfie camera that lets you do video calls also. The big display phone will offer long backup with the built-in 6000mAh battery that supports normal charging speed via microUSB 2.0 port. You get other features like the headphone jack and multiple sensors. Other Gionee mobiles include the F11, F8 Neo and the Max.

Verdict
Gionee Max Pro is a workhorse device that offers a big screen for entertainment, social media browsing and web surfing. It promises to give you long battery life that will last for day or two with ease. The design is quite decent for the price and having 2.5D curved glass is hard to ignore. But the overall performance is basic, and having a single camera at the back is no longer acceptable. Worth looking at better devices in this price range.

The 19:9 aspect ratio screen comes with water drop notch that houses the front camera. The power button and volume rocker are on the right side of the phone. The selfie camera can be used to enable face unlock to secure the device and data stored on it.
