Gionee P5 Mini

Gionee released a budget phone dubbed as the P5 mini with a thickness of 9.1mm. The smartphone exhibits a 4.5-inch IPS LCD display that provides good viewing angles. The screen has an FWVGA resolution of 854 x 480 pixels with a pixel density of 218 PPI. The dimensions of the phone are 132x 66 x 9.1 mm and weighs 153 grams, that is slightly on the lighter end.

The speaker is included on the rear to provide a good surround sound audio experience to the user. There are no physical buttons present for navigation, instead, the company has opted for three capacitive touch buttons on the front. The chamfered edges of the phone provide a better grip over the phone.

On the photography front, the company has included a 5-megapixel autofocus camera with LED flash that improves low-light imaging. Gionee P5 mini has a 2-megapixel front snapper for selfies and video calling feature using apps like Skype, Hangouts and Facebook.

The device runs Android 5.0 Lollipop out-of-the-box. The smartphone is powered by a quad-core Cortex A-7 processor; Mediatek MT6580 chipset clocked at 1.3 GHz that cares of multi-tasking. The chipset has 1 GB of RAM and 8 GB of internal storage for multiple apps and media. The storage can be further expanded up to 32 GB via a microSD card. The graphics are taken care of by the Mali 400MP2 GPU.

The dual SIM smartphone is juiced by a 1,850 mAh Li-Ion battery that can keep the phone up and running for a day with multiple app usage. Connectivity options are Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, hotspot, Bluetooth, GPS with A-GPS, FM Radio, microUSB 2.0 port, and 3G. The power and volume buttons are sported on the right panel of the handset. The device is available in three colour variants: Black, Blue, and White.
