Gionee S Plus

The Gionee S Plus is a budget Android based smartphone which features a host of exciting features such as an octa-core processor, a 5.5-inch AMOLED display, while having the unique distinction of being the first smartphone in India to sport a USB Type-C port.

The smartphone ships with Android 5.1 Lollipop OS out of the box with the Amigo UI 3.1 on top. The device is available in three colour options, dark blue, white and golden colours. The smartphone flaunts a 5.5-inch AMOLED Plus display. The display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3 technology for increased longevity while having a HD (1280x720) screen resolution.

The processing capacity on the device comprises of a 1.3 GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6753 processor having a 64-bit architecture. In addition, the device also flaunts a Mali-T720 GPU. In terms of memory, the device comes with 3 GB of RAM which is complimented by 16 GB of on board storage space. The storage space can be expanded further via an external microSD card.

In the photography department, the smartphone comes with a 13-megapixel primary shooter combined with a 5-megapixel front shooter. Both the cameras are capable of shooting images in HD resolution while the primary shooter can record videos in Full HD. In addition, the primary shooter is accompanied by an LED flash.

On the connectivity front, the smartphone comes with 4G LTE connectivity as well as 3G, HSPA+ connectivity. In addition, the device is the first India smartphone to come with a reversible USB Type-C port alone with Bluetooth 4.0, GPS and Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n. Powering the device, a non-removable Li-Po battery sits at the back of the smartphone and comes with a capacity of 3,150 mAh. The dual-SIM smartphone also comes with dual-active technology which ensures both the SIM slots are active at all times.
