Gionee X1

Chinese smartphone maker Gionee has come up with an affordable low-end smartphone, the Gionee X1. The device similar to the other players falling in the same price segment sports a plastic rear panel with the volume rockers and the home button on the right. Another important aspect of the smartphone is that the device ships with a rear-facing fingerprint reader which is fast and accurate.
The Gionee X1 boasts a 5-inch HD IPS display which is bright, but the screen suffers from legibility issues when placed under bright sunlight.

The Gionee X1 comes with two 8-megapixel shooters; one at the back and one at the front. The imaging piece at the back is aided with an LED flash to take care of low-light images and videos while the front-facing shooter is ideal for selfies and video calling.
The X1 is fuelled by a standard non-removable Li-Ion 3,000mAh cell which supports 7 hours of talk time.

Under the hood, the Gionee X1 is armed with a 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek chipset and 2GB of RAM that ensures a smooth and seamless smartphone experience. Users can indulge in games and also work on more than two apps simultaneously to a certain extent with ease.
For apps, media files and other data, there is 16GB of internal storage space which can be expanded using a microSD card up to 128GB.

The Gionee X1 is bundled with all the regular connectivity options like 4G, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, and a microUSB 2.0 port. The device also has dual-SIM support that allows users to use two networks simultaneously.
On the software front, the smartphone runs Android 7.0 Nougat.
