HTC Desire 820G Plus

The HTC Desire 820G+ is a dual SIM smartphone having an impressive 5.5 inch display along with an octa-core processor. The mid-range smartphone has good hardware packaged in the typical Desire form factor.

The device, being a budget smartphone comes with a plastic body and is an extremely slim 7.7 mm. The huge 5.5-inch display however sports only a HD (1280 720 pixels) screen resolution. This gives the device a pixel density of only 267 PPI and hence the colour reproduction and crispness of the images might not be the best amongst devices in the price point.

The Android based smartphone ships with Android KitKat 4.4 with a potential upgrade to the latest version of Android OS. In addition, the smartphone comes with HTC Sense on top. The device is available in two colour variants, dovetail gray and marble white.

The device sports a 13-megapixel camera along with an 8-megapixel front shooter. The rear shooter comes with an LED flash and comes with autofocus features too. Both the cameras come with HD recording facility and can capture beautiful images in full HD. The front shooter can also be used to make full HD video calls.

Hardware on the phone comes in the form of a MediaTek MT6592 processor. The octa-core processor comes with a clock speed of 1.7GHz and is paired with a Mali 450-MP4 graphics processor. The processor is paired with 1GB of RAM to deliver seamless multi-tasking experience.

On the connectivity front, the Desire 820G Plus is a dual-SIM smartphone having 3G support along with Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, FM radio, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS. The device is packed by 2,600 mAh non-removable Li-Po battery which can keep it ticking for 560 hours on standby. The battery also provides sufficient juice for 12 hours of non-stop talk time.
