The HTC One A9 is a premium smartphone with strong core specs in addition to features such as Quick Charge 3.0, the option to upgrade to Nougat 7.0 and sizeable expandable storage space.

The One A9 features a 5.0-inch Super AMOLED display that shows excellent quality through vivid colors and deeper contrast even at odd viewing angles. The touchscreen is also more responsive than other displays. The display’s Full HD resolution and 441 PPI pixel density displays content in the best quality. The display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3 against damage. In terms of the dimensions, the phone measures 145.8 x 70.8 x 7.3 mm while weighing 143 grams. The phone is available in the following shades: gray, silver, gold, garnet and pink.

The phone runs 6.0 Marshmallow that can be upgraded to 7.0 Nougat with HTC Sense UI on top on a Snapdragon 617 chipset with octa core processors i.e., four 4 x 1.5 GHz Cortex-A53 and four 1.2 GHz Cortex-A53 processors. It has 3GB of RAM, making this an excellent device for multitasking. It also comes with 32GB of storage that can be expanded to 200GB (2TB) with an SD card.

The phone comes with a 13-megapixel rear camera with dual LED flash for low-light conditions, OIS for correcting shaky pictures, autofocus and an f/2.0 aperture. The rear camera takes quality pictures. The front camera is 4-megapixels with a sensor measuring one-third of an inch, and an f/2.0 aperture that takes quality selfies. Both cameras are capable of recording Full HD videos. A 2,150 non-removable Li-ion battery powers the phone, lasting 12 hours at best with moderate use. The chipset also enables the phone with Quick Charge 3.0 that powers the battery faster than v2.0.

The One A9 supports 4G LTE on the single nano-SIM that it supports. The phone supports Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, A-GPS, GLONASS, Bluetooth 4.1, microUSB 2.0. The phone also supports a fingerprint scanner for added security.
