IBall Andi Avonte 5

The iBall Andi Avonte 5 is an Android based budget dual-SIM smartphone. The device comes with a unique rotatable camera which can be used as both a selfie camera and also a rear shooter.

The smartphone features a 5-inch IPS capacitive touch screen display. The display has a rather poor FWVGA (854 480 pixels) screen resolution thereby translating to an effective pixel density of 196 PPI. The display though having a poor resolution for its price point, manages to maintain brightness at most times.

The device is powered by a quad-core processor and is backed by 1GB of RAM. The performance of the device is as expected from a device in this price point and it enables smooth multi-tasking. The smartphone comes with 8GB of on-board memory which can further be improved to an additional 32GB. The phone ships with Android 4.4 KitKat out of the box.

The dual-SIM smartphone does not come with dual active technology and hence both the SIM slots cannot be simultaneously used. The smartphone is also 3G enabled only on one of the two SIM slots and hence most of the data connectivity will be limited to just one slot. In addition to 3G connectivity, the device comes with an array of connectivity options such as Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, a microUSB 2.0 port, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS. A 2150 mAh non-removable Li-Ion battery powers the device and can typically keep it ticking for at least an entire day.

The smartphone comes with a unique 8-megapixel camera. The rotatable camera can do a complete 180-degree rotation and can be used as both a front camera and a rear camera. The LED flash that sits next to the camera also rotates allowing for the capture of beautiful selfies. The camera comes with auto-focus and a host of other special software features to allow users to capture stunning images.
