The Intex Aqua Octa is a flagship dual SIM Android smartphone from Intex. This smartphone comes pre-loaded with Android 4.2 JellyBean operating system. Intex Aqua Octa sports a large 6" HD IPS LCD OGS display with capacitive multitouch panel. It is powered with a 1.7 GHz octa-core Mediatek MT6592 processor. This device has a 13 MP primary camera and a 5 MP secondary front-facing camera. It has 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage space and MicroSD card slot. It is dual-SIM compatible (GSM + GSM). Connectivity options includes HSDPA 3G, Wi-Fi b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.0, FM Radio and Micro USB 2.0 port. The device has a 2300 mAh Li-Ion battery.

Intex Aqua Octa Details

The Intex Aqua Octa is the first octa-core processor equipped smartphone from an Indian manufacturer announced earlier in November with the name Aqua i17.
Hardware and Specifications
As mentioned earlier, the Intex Aqua Octa is an octa-core processor based dual-SIM (GSM + GSM) Android smartphone. The phone is powered with a brand new 1.7GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6592 processor which includes Mali-450 GPU clocked at 750MHz. In terms of storage, this smartphone has 2GB RAM and 16GB of internal storage which could be further expanded up to 32GB using MicroSD card.
Screen and Design
The Intex Aqua Octa has a 6" IPS LCD with capacitive touch screen and One Glass Solution (OGS) which would substantially reduce the thickness of the screen and as well as reduce the glare, there by improving contrast, brightness and viewing angles. The screen on the phone has HD (720x1280 pixels) resolution. The phone is just 7 mm thin and weighs 180 grams.
Camera and Multimedia
The smartphone has a 13 MP auto-focus primary camera on the rear accompanied with an LED light which would come handy while clicking images or shooting videos in low-light conditions. The primary camera is also capable of shooting full HD 1080p videos at 30 FPS. On the front of the phone, there's also a secondary 5 MP camera for video calling and clicking self-portraits. In terms of multimedia capabilities, the device supports playback of all common multimedia formats. It also comes with entertainment apps such as Google Currents, YouTube and Google Play Music.
Software and Features
The Intex Aqua Octa comes pre-loaded with Android 4.2 JellyBean operating system with some minor UI customisations from Intex. The device also comes with other common apps and software features such as Google Now, Google Search, Gmail, Google Maps, Hangouts, EMail, Document viewer, etc.
Battery and Connectivity
The device has a meagre 2300 mAh battery which is very low considering the device is powered with an octa-core processor and sports a large 6" display. In terms of connectivity options, the phone supports dual-SIM (GSM+WCDMA), HSDPA 3G, Wi-Fi b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.0, GLONASS A-GPS, Micro USB v2.0 and 3.5 mm headphone jack.
